Jon Burkett – Chesterfield Native and graduate of Manchester High
Navy Veteran who spent most of his tour working for the American Forces Network in La Maddalena, Italy 4 Classes away from Graduating with a Criminal Justice Degree at the University of Phoenix thanks to a scholarship he was awarded by NFL Wide Receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Jon has been on CBS 6 for 18 years and covers crime in Metro Richmond You can catch “Crime Insider” reports weeknights at 11pm.
Jon is also a youth basketball coach for the Clover Hill Athletic Association and AAU coach for CVA Elite. Jon could not do what he does without the support of his loving wife Malorie, His three children: Sophia, Austin and Clara and numerous police sources and CBS 6 family members.
